Harrisville Designs

Located in Harrisville, New Hampshire, Harrisville Designs is a woolen mill that was established in 1971 with the goal of preserving the textile heritage of the town, which dates back to 1794. It is the only industrial community of the early 19th century in America that still survives in its original form, and is a designated National Historic Landmark. In the 1980's, Harrisville Designs began to manufacture the Friendly Loom product line to introduce children to the joys of working with their hands.
