Overall impression: I think this gets the lowest rating out of the Rainbow Blocks series simply because all the rest are so great, and these are a little less inspiring. The plastic beads make a great noise when shaken, but they feel somehow "plasticy". The whole series is well constructed, with tight fit and finish, and the hardwood is sanded smooth. The really do add that extra "something" to any wooden unit block structure. Be sure to also check out the Deluxe Rainbow Block Set, the Sand Rainbow Block Set, and the Shimmering Water Rainbow Block Set.
